Measurements Calculation Guide
All garment measurments are approximate. The measurments are calculated with a tape measurer used by tailors and seamstress by laying the garment on a flat surface.
- Bust measurement is calculated by placing the tape measurer across the chest from seam to seam at the armhole. That measurment is then mutiplied by two, this will provide an estimated circurmference of the chest.
- Waist location varies per garment. The waist is located between the bust and hip, however exact location can vary by several inches depending on the garment. The measurment is calculated by placing the tape measurer across the garment at the defined waist location. That measurement is then mutiplied by two, this will provide an estimated circumference of the waist.
- Hip location varies per garment. as some garments do not have a defined hip. The hip is typically the widest point of the garment. The measurment is calculated by placing the tape measurer across the garment at the defined hip location. That measurement is then mutiplied by two, this will provied an estimated circumference of the hip.
- Shoulder measurment is calculated by placing the tape measurer across the fartest point of the top left should to the fartest point of the top right shoulder.
- Length measurment is calculated by placing the tape measurer at the top neck seam to the very bottom of the garment. If the garment has a collar, the collar is not included in the length measurement.
- Arm Length measurement is calculated by placing the tape measurment at the shoulder seam or defined shoulder if no seam is present to the end of the sleeeve.
